A Coffee in the Woods
I will launch my first ever coat design under the name "A Coffee in the Woods (and other stories)". The idea for my coat line came to me about 7 years ago. Meeting the right people to help develop this first design has made my idea REAL. The collection name is a tribute to a/my birthday wish to have a coffee in the woods in Finland and to pet a reindeer. Both came true on my December 31st, 2023 birthday!
*Production just completed. HARU coats are now in my hands. i'm currently hand sewing labels onto each coat and shooting images of coat out in everyday life.

I met Rae back in 2018 at West Coast Craft in San Francisco when she came to my booth. She spotted Bucket bag in Veg Tan. That was it. Sonoko Sakai: Japanese chef, designer of her food/product brand and book author...
Sonoko and I met in the maker world at a mutual friends backyard pop up shop. @thelazypotters would gather us twice per year to sell our wares. This is also where i became hooked on Sonoko's pumpkin curry muffins and she became a loyal supporter of my bag brand.
